Single Drivers — General Hazmat Freight
Class 3, 8, 9 OTR for sporting ammunition, industrial chemicals, and lithium battery freight on predictable Atlantic Coast lanes.
the role
Single drivers run Class 1.4 freight OTR — small-arms ammunition, consumer fireworks, and other non-attended Class 1 cargo that doesn't trigger continuous-attendance requirements per 49 CFR 397.5. Most of our single-driver volume is Atlantic Coast drayage feeding into east-of-Mississippi long-haul. Attended Class 1 (1.1, 1.2, certain 1.3) runs team-driver — see the team-drivers page for that role.
Lanes are predictable — port to plant, port to distribution, plant to retail consolidation. We run small enough that you'll know your dispatcher's name and they'll know your loads.
Minimum requirements
- Valid CDL Class A with HM (Hazmat) endorsement
- Minimum 1 year CDL experience
- Clean MVR
- TWIC card recommended (Ramar covers cost if obtaining)
- DOT physical + DOT drug screen current
